Every charter here starts inside the next eight weeks and is cheap because somebody's plans changed, not because the rate was inflated to begin with. Discounts run from 18 to 45 per cent off what the yacht was selling for in July.

How it works
A cancellation, an owner's change of plan, or a boat that has to be in the Caribbean by December. Where the reason is a tired crew at the end of a long season, or a refit that slipped, that goes on the listing too and it costs us bookings.
We quote against what the yacht actually sold for in July, not against an aspirational published figure. On boats that never sold at their published rate we show no percentage at all, which makes our page look duller than it could.
A week comes down the hour it goes. Around a fifth of this page turns over weekly and we would rather show you nine honest charters than thirty that include some sold on Tuesday.
On an unsold boat two weeks out, the rate usually falls again. When we think yours will, we say so — and roughly half the time somebody else books it while you are thinking, which is a commission we have talked ourselves out of.
